The last few weeks have been really exciting for the rankingCoach team with trips to three of Europe's most vibrant cities.
rankingCoach at Google Hamburg
rankingCoach's digital marketing event for agencies and ambitious SMBs was hosted by Google Germany at their HQ in Hamburg. On the 9th floor of their maritime-themed offices, complete with porthole windows and a great view of the city. The occasion kicked off with a talk from Google's Christoph Schier who told the full audience about Google's mission to:
"organize the world's information and make it universally accessible and useful"
Christoph then warmly handed the floor over to rankingCoach's Silke Schmoll who began by talking about rankingCoach's 20+ partners around the world and the groundbreaking rankingCoach app.
Silke's presentation next moved onto exploring important developments in local SEO including changing purchasing habits and search trends.
Then came a live demonstration of the rankingCoach application', showing how anyone can use it to optimize their own projects and build a strong online presence with local directories and review profile management.
After the talks, Google hosted rankingCoach's networking event with excellent hospitality and catering. The rankingCoach team really enjoyed meeting so many dynamic entrepreneurs.
The enthusiasm for having these digital marketing concepts and applications in the hands of SMBs was clear to everyone present. We really appreciated this response. It pushes rankingCoach forward in our mission to empower SMBs to thrive in the 21st century.
A big thanks to all of you who made the effort to attend and of course Google for hosting us at your impressive offices in Hamburg
When it comes to the SMB market, local businesses make up a massive part of the industry, making being found by the right customers in the right areas more important than ever before.
The Search and Information Industry Association highlighted this during their Local Search Summit last week, which focused on the importance of being found within the community your business is based in.
rankingCoach was delighted to attend, and our CEO Daniel Wette drew on his personal experience when introducing the product to conference attendees.
“Growing up, my parents ran a restaurant...and for the last 130 years, the Yellow Pages has done an awesome marketing job for small businesses like theirs” recalled Daniel. However, as the market rapidly moves away from paper print advertising and towards online, these small businesses must move with it, adapting their marketing efforts quickly to keep up. As Daniel tells us, “91% of consumers use a search engine to find local information”, making it more important than ever to be found online.
SIINDA plays an important role in bringing together services that work within the online information industry, to deliver connected, relevant and reliable information from across the web.
The ultimate goal of any search information-based service is to provide the user with the best possible result. rankingCoach aims to help small businesses from the other side of that coin - when their business is the best fit for a customer’s search, rankingCoach helps ensure that the user will find it.
rankingCoach’s List Local feature allows auto-population to all relevant local directories for a customer’s geographical area and business sector. This is localized on a country level, directories relevant in Germany may be different to those relevant in the U.K.
It also allows businesses to keep control of their business information, ensuring the same data is populated across all directories, from one centralized dashboard, with one simple synchronizing click. It also supports review monitoring, reputation management and customer interaction on Google My Business and Facebook.
The SIINDA Local Search event gave us an opportunity to really focus on the local listing aspect of the rankingCoach application, and reflect on how important online marketing is, especially for local industries.
We had a great time in Lisbon and enjoyed meeting colleagues from many different areas of the Search and Information Industry, and look forward to joining SIINDA at future events!
rankingCoach was pleased to join members of the industry at the Typo3 Conference. Alongside esteemed guests including representatives from Microsoft, Vaimo, AGConsult and the European Commission, rankingCoach Business Development Account Manager Alasdair Stone introduced the attendees to the rankingCoach product range.
With the potential business needs of Typo3’s hundreds of thousands of CMS users in mind, Alasdair took conference participants through the changing landscape of marketing and the problems this poses for may SMEs, before explaining how a bundle containing online marketing can ensure customers have long term, sustainable success with their Typo3 website.
Whilst conference-goers and fans of Typo3 are undoubtedly aware of the importance of SEO, how to offer it to their customers and what to do after the basics were natural sticking points.
In response to this, Alasdair was able to introduce rankingCoach’s Google Ads capabilities, giving the user the option of instant success whilst they wait on their organic SEO to catch up. Furthermore, local listings form a core part of any successful SEO strategy and are essential to local businesses, like many of Typo3’s users.
rankingCoach had a great time in a beautiful city in the Netherlands and would like to extend our thanks to the organizers and participants of the Typo3 Conference. We look forward to attending more events in the future!
